Kathy Macfarlane is a doctoral student in the Department of Teaching, Learning, and Culture at Texas A&M University and an academic supervisor for ACE Teaching Fellows. Kathy is a 2019 graduate of Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Indiana, where she majored in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Mild Intervention and Mathematics. She earned her Master of Education from ACE Teaching Fellows in 2021 while teaching 5th grade at St. Philip Neri Catholic School in Indianapolis, Indiana.

After ACE, Kathy taught at Saint Austin Catholic school in Austin, Texas. While completing her doctoral work, she teaches undergraduate students at Texas A&M. Her current research focuses on teacher education and inservice teacher supports, Catholic education, classroom management, teacher retention, and induction.
