Marco Ordoñez serves as an Associate Program Director for ACE Teaching Fellows where he oversees communities located in the midwest, as well as Texas.
As an ACE teacher (ACE 24), Marco taught high school chemistry and algebra at Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary High School in Los Angeles, CA. In addition to his role as a member of the STEM faculty, Marco served as the head varsity coach for the men’s soccer team and was co-moderator for the chemistry club. Who says all the best chemistry jokes Argon? During his time in ACE, he was known for incorporating his love of chemistry and sub-par science jokes into his classroom.
Marco is a 2016 graduate of Loyola University. As an undergraduate student, he was a resident assistant and active in undergraduate neuroscience research. After graduating from Loyola, Marco served as a Colorado Vincentian Volunteer for a year prior to joining the Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary faculty. Since completing his M.Ed., Marco taught high school chemistry at St. Rita of Cascia in Chicago, IL and served as a college admissions counselor at Ripon College.
Marco is originally from Woodstock, IL.
