Sean James serves as the Senior Associate Program Director for ACE Teaching Fellows where he pastorally supports three ACE communities: Cleveland, Detroit, and Milwaukee. Sean also leads pastoral care and school partnership efforts.
As an ACE teacher (ACE 27), Sean taught middle school social studies and religion in Detroit, Michigan at Gesu Catholic Grade School.
Sean is a 2018 graduate of Xavier University. As an undergraduate student, he was active in the Dorothy Day Center for Faith and Justice serving the University of Cincinnati and Xavier University communities including leading retreats and supervising weekly service. After his time at Xavier, Sean joined the Jesuit Volunteer Corps (JVC) Northwest, where he served at JOIN, a housing agency in Portland that builds relationships with and serves the needs of the houseless community.
Sean is originally from Olney, Maryland.
