Job Responsibilities
Leadership & Administration:
Serves as a key member of the leadership team, collaborating to implement school-wide initiatives and improve overall effectiveness.
Acts as the Principal’s designee when necessary, ensuring consistent leadership aligned with the school's vision and mission.
Leads professional development sessions focused on instructional leadership, school culture, and scholar support.
Promotes a culture of collaboration and continuous growth among faculty and staff, modeling responsive classroom practices.
Serves as a liaison between school, families, and external networks to foster strong partnerships that support the school community.
Engages in proactive problem-solving and data-driven decision-making to address challenges and optimize school operations.
Assists in strategy and implementation of the hiring process for the elementary team.
Represent and participate in key committees and at school wide events.
Scholar Discipline & Support:
Leads efforts to maintain a positive and structured school culture, ensuring scholars receive the necessary support for success.
Manages scholar behavior referrals, guiding teachers on appropriate next steps and facilitating communication with families.
Supports the implementation of restorative practices, fostering a school culture focused on accountability, respect, and growth.
Develops and refines intervention strategies to proactively address behavioral trends and support scholars’ social-emotional development.
Instruction & Coaching:
Provides dynamic coaching and instructional support across all grades, driving curriculum integrity and teacher effectiveness.
Supervises and mentors a designated group of teachers through regular observations, goal-setting, and actionable feedback.
Leads the data cycle implementation process, ensuring effective use of assessments to inform instruction.
Partners with teachers to analyze MAP testing data and develop targeted scholar learning plans.
Oversees lesson plan reviews, pacing, report card feedback, and instructional professional development to enhance educator effectiveness.
Collaborates with the internal and external partners to improve data-driven instruction and scholar outcomes.
Operational Leadership:
Manages scheduling, including specialist calendars for K2–grade 6 and coverage plans for faculty absences.
Oversees scholar technology implementation, ensuring effective use of iPads, Chromebooks, and instructional platforms.
Maintains standards alignment in the SIS and ensures accuracy in report card updates.
Supports the implementation of major school initiatives such as MAP testing, instructional goals, and curriculum development.
Coordinates with the custodial team to ensure a safe and organized learning environment.
Manages pre-practicum placements, interns and other community partners.
Leads and manages the budget and implementation of ordering curricular materials for elementary classrooms.
