The Position:
The Science teacher will be assigned four sections of Chemistry and one
elective course. The teacher will work alongside other Math and Science
teachers within our school’s STEM Department.
The first day of the school year for faculty is Tuesday, August 20, 2024. New
teachers are expected to attend a summer training in Chicago from July
24-July 26. Expenses for this training are covered by the school.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Secondary Science Education is required
- Master’s Degree in Secondary Science Education is preferred but not
required
- Prior successful full-time teaching experience in grades 7-12 is strongly
preferred
- Able to use technology to further student learning (i.e. Google Classroom,
Zoom, PowerSchool)
- Prior experience in Cristo Rey schools, Teach for America, Alliance for
Catholic Education, or NativityMiguel schools is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits:
Starting salary is $60,000; the exact amount is commensurate with experience
and benchmarked with our peer local and Cristo Rey Network schools.
