Founded in 1854 in Havana, Cuba, Belen Jesuit Preparatory School moved to Miami, Florida in 1961 upon Fidel Castro’s expulsion of the Jesuits from the country.  Since 1981, Belen has been located on a stunning, 33-acre campus in western Miami-Dade county.  The school has served all boys since its founding and currently boasts over 7200 active alumni around the world.  Today, Belen serves boys in grades 6 through 12 with a student enrollment exceeding 1300.

The school has launched a nationwide search for its next Dean of Mission and Formation. Under the President’s and Principal’s leadership, the campus ministry office has grown to a team of seven members for whom this next Dean will lead as the school seeks to strengthen and expand its ministerial reach to all domains of school life.  The primary responsibility of the new Dean of Mission and Formation will be to implement   the vision and mission of ministry in the Ignatian tradition through a collaborative Christ-centered faith community that will assist its students in becoming “Intentional Disciples for Christ” as “Men for Others”.  The Dean reports to the Principal.
