Job Description
Overview
The Director of Advancement will lead St. Brendan Parish School’s fundraising, communications, public relations, alumni relations, and enrollment management efforts. This role is essential to strengthening relationships with the school’s constituents, increasing engagement with the school, and promoting the school’s mission and growth. The Director will play a pivotal role in attracting and retaining students, families, and donors.
Key Responsibilities
Development & Fundraising
• Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising plan that includes the annual fund appeal, grants, matching gifts, and donor stewardship.
• Cultivate and maintain strong donor relationships, ensuring consistent communication, tracking contributions, and overseeing effective stewardship.
• Maintain and optimize the constituent database to enhance donor engagement and partnership opportunities.
• Serve as the strategic lead for fundraising efforts, working with the School Advisory Board, Mother’s Club, Men’s Club, and capital campaign committee.
Community Engagement & Outreach
• Strengthen relationships with key stakeholders, including parents, parent club leadership, alumni, feeder schools, local organizations, and parish communities.
• Act as an ambassador for St. Brendan Parish School by representing the institution at events, community gatherings, and external meetings.
• Develop initiatives that encourage involvement from parents, alumni, and community partners to support advancement efforts.
Enrollment Management
• Design and implement strategies to attract, enroll, and retain students, ensuring enrollment targets are met.
• Oversee the application and admissions process, including inquiries, campus tours, interviews, and testing coordination.
• Analyze and report admissions and enrollment trends, providing data-driven insights to inform leadership decisions.
Marketing & Communications
• Develop compelling marketing materials to engage prospective families, donors, and community partners.
• Lead communication efforts, including website content, email campaigns, social media, and newsletters (such as the Voyager).
• Ensure brand consistency and a clear, mission-aligned messaging strategy across all communications.
Administrative & Operational Support
• Maintain accurate school rosters, emergency contact lists, and other essential records.
• Assist with administrative duties such as ordering school materials and supplies as needed.
Skills & Competencies
• Passion for Catholic education, community engagement, and fostering a thriving school environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills to engage families, donors, and community partners.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for donor relations, outreach, and marketing.
• Experience in annual giving campaigns, donor cultivation, and fundraising strategy.
• Proficiency in data analysis, enrollment trends, and relevant software tools.
• Ability to collaborate across departments and work closely with faculty, leadership, pastor, parish leadership, and the School Advisory Board.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Compensation: $80-85K annually
