Director of Implementation - C2 Opportunity Scholarships

C2 Opportunity Scholarships
Birmingham, AL
Other Education and Non-Profit Positions

C2 Opportunity Scholarships seeks a Director of Implementation who can manage the organization's expansion of its tax credit scholarship program and undertaking of a new national initiative to assist dioceses around the nation in taking advantage of the education choice programs in their respective states. With Catholic school student enrollment falling drastically below our students' market share of most states' choice programs, C2 aims to fill this void and ensure our Catholic schools are thee first in line to take advantage of their in-state Education Savings Account (ESA) and choice programs.

C2 is the Catholic arm of a consortium of education choice providers based in Birmingham, Alabama. Aside from providing tax credit scholarships for the Diocese of Birmingham, C2 has begun two primary national initiatives: (1) helping dioceses in states that have tax credit scholarship programs start their own Catholic-specific scholarship granting organization and (2) in partnership with Catholic Education Partners, providing implementation services for dioceses in states with Education Savings Account programs to maximize Catholic school and student enrollment.

The Director of Implementation will:

- develop and streamline C2's current implementation strategy for states with current ESAs

- create material for partner states based on state school choice laws

- design a means of marketing implementation services for dioceses in states that are in the process of passing ESA/education legislation

- create implementation goals with Bishops and Catholic superintendents in partner states

- create and implement a marketing campaign in ESA states to advertise to Catholic school families in conjunction with C2's Marketing Manager

- train Catholic school principals in partner states on their respective school choice policies and best practices

- organize enrollment events in partner states

- spearhead other responsibilities related to implementation as needed

This position would report directly to Executive Director, Andy Ryan.

This position would require consistent travel.

While a homebase in the South is preferred, this job is largely remote and open to the right candidate, regardless of location.

The ideal candidate will have a nuanced understanding of state school choice policies and be able to communicate those to others in a simple, understandable manner.

Experience in education policy and/or Catholic school administration preferable.
