Each student is trained to think critically, refine talent, and become a life-long learner. We are seeking a professional and competent administrator to serve as principal beginning July 1, 2025, for the 2025-2026 school year.


Position Summary: Administers the school and all facets of its instructional program, including co-curricular activities; supervision of all certified and noncertified staff assigned to the building facility;
Provides leadership in establishing expectations for student attendance, conduct, and learning performance.

Enrollment: 187 students (preschool-grade 8)
15 full-time teachers
2 part-time teachers
1 secretary
1 coordinator for school admissions and operations

GENERAL DUTIES:

Instructional Leadership:
• Supervises the delivery of instruction to students ensuring that teachers focus on the Diocesan curriculum to meet student needs.
• Supervises and evaluates certified and non-certified personnel assigned to the school.
• Works with all staff to ensure maximum opportunity for success.
• Effectively develops and manages the budget as assigned to the school.
• Effectively manages an efficient office and record-keeping system.
• Encourages and facilitates faculty and staff professional growth.
• Demonstrates care and concern for the well-being of all students and staff.
• Fosters positive student, parent, and staff relationships.
• Encourages positive public relations within and outside the school.
• Demonstrates skill in hiring of new staff members and recommends all staff for employment at the school.
• Exercises leadership necessary to make the school facility an attractive, pleasant, and productive place in which to learn and work.
• Ensures that proper procedures are followed in planning and conducting PPTs.
• Develops a fair and consistent system for student discipline.
• Manages student activity funds ensuring proper expenditure of funds.
• Maintains professional knowledge through attendance at selected conferences, reading of professional journals or memberships in professional organizations.


Spiritual Leadership:
• Actively promotes the discipleship of Jesus Christ as integral to the school’s Catholic culture and mission.
• Ensures that all teachers hold an appropriate catechetical certification.
• Creates an environment that reflects Catholic identity.
• Supports and fosters prayer, worship, and an active sacramental life.
• Promotes and provides ongoing religious formation for the faculty and the staff.
• Witnesses to the basic moral and social teaching of the Church, thereby promoting an atmosphere for peace and justice.

Professional Behavior and Knowledge:
• Implements the Office of Catechetical Formation and Education (OCFE) policies, curriculum, administrative regulations, and state laws as they apply to the local School.
• Manages the proper and efficient use and conservation of all assets and resources of the school.
• Leads productive faculty meetings to ensure that lines of communication are open.
• Adheres to legal regulations concerning fire drills and health and safety procedures.
• Informs the Area Superintendent and Pastors promptly of serious problems within the school.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY TO PERFORM

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Needs to be a practicing Catholic in full communion with the Church.
• A Master’s degree or beyond.
• A valid state administrator’s certificate with applicable level endorsement.
• Professional verification of three to five years of experience in Catholic school education, including at least two years of successful experience as a classroom teacher.
• Professional endorsement of exemplary leadership behaviors and verification of the demonstrated ability to serve as a positive role model for students and staff.
• A satisfactory attendance and work record.

PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Is knowledgeable of and works in compliance with the procedures and regulations of a Catholic school, the OCFE and the OCSAA.
• Attendance at all necessary meetings is required.
• Maintains necessary records on acquisition of Professional Development hours.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

• Valid Ohio Administrative License
• Catechetical Leader Certification
• VIRTUS training, once hired
• Fingerprinting with no record-BCI&I and FBI fingerprinting
• Annual evaluation by the Pastor
• Salary and benefits as listed in the contract

Note: According to ORC Section 3319.22 a criminal background check and fingerprinting will be required for hiring
