Corey Kuminecz is a Recruitment and Programming Assistant for ACE Teaching Fellows, focusing on the program's recruitment, selection, placement, and enrollment efforts.
While completing his master of education degree through the University of Notre Dame as a member of ACE 25, Corey taught in New York City. He taught Math, Social Studies, and Science over his 4 years at Our Lady Queen of Angels School (OLQA) in East Harlem in NYC. He coached the Middle School track team and served as a Confirmation sponsor for several students at OLQA. After New York, Corey went on to teach Middle School Math in Chicago and most recently taught ESL classes in Cusco, Perú.
A graduate of the University of Dayton, Corey majored in Environmental Biology with a minor in Human Rights. He participated in several groups on campus, such as writing a student blog for the Office of Admissions, working in an Ecology research lab, and tutoring with a youth organization off campus. Corey is originally from South Bend, IN.
