"Faith and reason are like two wings on which the human spirit rises to the contemplation of truth; and God has placed in the human heart a desire to know the truth ... so that, by knowing and loving God, men and women may also come to the fullness of truth about themselves."

- Pope John Paul II, Fides et Ratio

Cross Campus Collaboration

Housed in the University of Notre Dame's Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE), the Ascent Program draws on the expertise and knowledge of partners across campus to both deliver high quality coursework and conduct rigorous research. The Office of Digital Learning (ODL) team members work collaboratively to design and develop multi-media learning experiences for our students. Our partners in the Wilson-Sheehan Lab for Economic Opportunity (LEO) and the Lucy Family Institute for Data and Society add methodological prowess to conducting our randomized control trial and Social Network Analysis. As called for in the "University of Notre Dame: 2033 Strategic Framework," these partnerships draw on the knowledge and resources of the campus community to engage in interdisciplinary research aimed at illuminating the value and need for Catholic education and, in doing so, draw more people into our critical mission.
