St. Petersburg
Life in the City
St. Petersburg is a wonderful place to live and teach. In addition to hosting the ACE Teaching Fellows program, this community welcomes several other arms of ACE. In fact, one could say that the amount of ACE activity in St. Petersburg makes it feel like Notre Dame away from home. Our community lives in Pinellas Park on a peninsula between the Tampa Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. We are a short drive from the city of Tampa and several great beaches.

What are you looking forward to the most in ACE this year? (and why?)
I am looking forward to being able to bring my full, authentic self to my school community and classroom. Through my authenticity, I will have a chance to bring a new face and experience that my students and school community have never experienced before.

Why did you say "yes" to serving children in Catholic schools through ACE?
I said "yes" to serving children in Catholic schools through ACE because I wanted to help students grow in their faith and academically. I had so many amazing teachers during my Catholic education growing up and I hope that I can inspire the growth of my students.

If you had to pick just one word to describe your ACE experience so far, what would it be (and why)?
Surprising - I start out every day wondering how I’m going to teach a bunch of students, and by the end of every day I find something in myself and my students that I didn’t know we had.
