Life in the City

It is impossible to live in Pensacola without frequently enjoying its white sand, lovely beaches! Pensacola is probably most well-known for the large Naval base (which is located just a few miles down the road from St. John’s). It has a lovely historic district and down at the beach, it has a great boardwalk full of shops and eateries. The weather in P’cola is wonderful. Hot summers and mild winters—it can get cold from time to time, but just enough to make one appreciate the usual climate.

What are you looking forward to the most in ACE this year?

I'm looking forward to helping my students find something they love. My teachers were vital in helping me find the things that I was most passionate about, and I would love to help students discover their passions.

How do you hope to grow in your experience as an ACE teacher?

I hope to grow in my ability to love as an ACE teacher! I want to love my community members, my school and students, and the Lord more and more each day through the little and big ways that He moves during the days, weeks, and months of being an ACE teacher.

Why did you say "yes" to serving children in Catholic schools through ACE?

Catholic education has played a vital role in the opportunities that were provided to me and the person I am today. Having the opportunity to give back to Catholic education is something I am excited for!

Why did you say "yes" to serving children in Catholic schools through ACE?

I always looked up to and admired the work my dad has done as a Catholic school teacher, and in a lot of ways I hope to follow in his footsteps as an educator in a Catholic school.

Why did you say "yes" to serving children in Catholic schools through ACE?

I said yes to serving children in Catholic schools through ACE because I have a passion for teaching and want to help children discover their gifts. When children know their strengths, they can use them to help the world doing small acts with great love.
