San Antonio
Life in the City
San Antonio has great food, pretty sights, and wonderful people. The Riverwalk downtown is so charming and always bustling. We also enjoy the cheap Mexican food that is available throughout the city. The people are incredibly friendly and helpful (especially for northern transplants like us)!

Why did you say "yes" to serving children in Catholic schools through ACE?
I said yes to serving children in Catholic schools through ACE as it is a formative program that creates the opportunity to teach students while living in community with faith at its heart. I believe this is an incredible opportunity for me to grow in faith and as a teacher.

If you had to pick just one word to describe your ACE experience so far, what would it be (and why)?
Energetic. The highlight of my ACE experience has been spending time both inside and outside of the classroom with my students. Whether learning about the Pythagorean theorem or playing basketball during recess, my students bring a contagious energy which makes any long day of lesson planning and grading worthwhile.
