How do you hope to grow in your experience as an ACE Teacher?
I hope to grow against the odds. I hope to be truly challenged. I hope to look at myself in the mirror on the hardest weeks and find something positive to say, a reason to smile. I hope to, in the face of the most challenging days, find the time to uplift my students and community members. This, would be the growth I hope to see.

Why did you say "yes" to serving as a Catholic school educator through ACE Teaching Fellows?
Growing up in a big Catholic family, I felt called to lead and serve the youth. I have always dreamed of being a teacher, and I knew ACE would allow me to bring my faith into the classroom while challenging and deepening it through my students. I am honored to be a part of this program which shows me glimpses of Christ in all I do through and with ACE.
Life in the City
San Antonio is home to millions of friendly people. There's unlimited (and cheap) Tex-Max and BBQ, beautiful hill country sights, and always something to do around town. San Antonio is known for The Riverwalk with restaurants, bars, and Texas glamour as well as none other than the Alamo. When visiting San Antonio, be sure to bring your boots, "y'all"s, and a rowdy attitude for all the adventures that await.
