Vacation awaits in St Pete! Also known as the Sunshine City, St. Pete is full of palm trees, beach bums, and busy teachers. When not lesson planning, the St. Pete ACE teachers can be found enjoying the sun and surf in both St. Pete and our sister city, Tampa. St. Pete has no shortage of activities, from visiting the fun and artsy downtown, kayaking down a wildlife-filled river, and going on gorgeous nature walks. We can’t wait to see you on the Bay!

How do you hope to grow in your experience as an ACE teacher?
I hope to grow as an ACE teacher by learning about how I can apply difficult concepts to my classroom in a student-friendly and appropriately structured manner. I also hope to grow in community, and learn how I can support my students and community members each day.

If you had to pick one word to describe your ACE experience thus far, what would it be? Why?
Formative! I would say this past year I learned so much about teaching, mentoring, planning, managing a classroom. I received great advice and lots of help this year - both from my mentors in ACE my mentors at my ACE school, and from my students. I learned about strengths and interests that I did not know I had, and became aware of the many areas I have for growth. This year helped me become a more effective teacher, and more appreciative of all the work that goes into being a good teacher.

My ACE school is amazing because of the close-knit community! The teachers and students work hard to lift each other up and make everyone feel valued. I couldn’t be more blessed to be there!
