Where We Serve: Indianapolis
High-speed, history, and good old Hoosier hospitality are just a few of the many reasons we love teaching in Indianapolis. While home to the Indy 500, the Colts, and the Pacers, Indianapolis is also equipped with great food, arts, and culture. We are looking forward to sampling the plethora of live music that comes through Indy at venues like Old National Centre. Our community is also only about three hours away from Notre Dame Stadium, which is great for game days! We are In-dy!
" Being a first year teacher is one of the hardest jobs to bare, especially for those fresh out of college. I think being in a community helps you deal with that, and reminds you to keep things in perspective. "

"What I like most about ACE community life is that we are never finished building our community. It is always a work in progress and one where we each learn more about ourselves and one another every day. "

" I said "yes" to ACE because I believe in the mission of Catholic schools to educate the whole person: mind, body, and spirit. When I reflect on my high school years, I realize there are many teachers and mentors who guided my personal growth, and I hope I can be that teacher for my students. "

"My favorite teaching moment this past year was when my 8th graders participated in a pig heart dissection. Their curiosity and eagerness to learn really came to life! They loved the hands-on experience, it provided them practical applications for what they might see in high school, and it gave them a tangible encounter with what we had been learning in class. "

"My favorite teaching moment was when my most challenging student who had caused so many disruptions in class and been angry and disrespectful all year wrote me a letter thanking me for never giving up on him. He thanked me for being like a second mom to him. "
